The monthly celebration of Jamaican fashion ‘Island Couture’ is slated for Saturday January 31 at 7:30pm at the Hilton Kingston poolside as part of Jamaica Night, highlighting Jamaican food, culture, art, fashion and music. The show will feature designs by acclaimed local designer Barry Moncrieffe, sexy swimwear by Blaazin Designs, trendy casual wear by Yaad Trendz with high fashion accessories by Reve Jewellery and Cinderella Hats. This month’s show will feature a live performance by the talented and sensational Tessanne Chin.

Island Couture has presented an avenue for local designers to showcase their talent and unveil local trends for the season. Since its launch in November 2008 Island Couture has featured designs from Les Campbell, Keneea Linton, Yola Grey, Julan, Poshe, Shades of Africa and Cinderella Hats and has received overwhelming support from the Jamaican people. We look forward to a successful series in 2009 as we continue to promote Brand Jamaica.

The Jamaica Fashion & Apparel Cluster is a project of the Private Sector Development Programme (PSDP) which is co-funded by the European Union and the Government of Jamaica. The Jamaica Fashion and Apparel Cluster is supported and guided by the Jamaica Business Development Centre (JBDC).
The Jamaica Fashion and Apparel Cluster facilitates the growth and development of new and existing micro, small and medium enterprises in the Industry. The Cluster promotes the collective interest of its members and has the ultimate goal of improving the competitiveness of Jamaica’s Fashion and Apparel Industry.
