Irie Diva’s Picks: Lets window shop together
Mar 17th, 2009 | By Irie Diva | Category: Irie Diva's PicksWe all do it to pass time at work…some of us have the luxury of actually putting the items in the shopping cart and virtually swiping the credit card after. Me? 50 called me right out when he rapped "you’re a window shopper" yep that’s me!
Here are some items I’m currently lusting after…you can click the images to be taken directly to the various listings.
These blue shoes over at ASOS have been screaming my name at the top of their lungs!!! I’m coming boo!
These shoes are equally hot in blue and orange…I’ve never been a fan of owning one design in more than one colour because there’s waaaay too much variety for that but hey, there’s a first time for everything.
These faux snake skin gladiators, I feel like I’ve blogged about them before. Maybe I meant to…point is, they’re still hot. They put a fresh spin on the mandatory nude/tan shoes that are closet staples. They’re Chinese Laundry and not a bad price either.
Now those grey joints with the red! Ooooooweeeee talk about a fresh spin. I’m in heaven and they’re from Charlotte Russe so you KNOW they’re pocket friendly…those may actually deserve a virtual swipe! The hidden platform and the sturdy heel make this one a good choice for work wear or all night dancing as those two points normally equal comfy shoes for me.
Lets move to my favourites in the clothing dept for a bit. This DVF dress is right up my alley. The print is unique, the flirty ruffled sleeves hide my soft spot in a fun and cute way and we love when a belt is there to give us some shape. I feel this is one of my picks that I may be going out on a ledge with, you know the Irie one has always been a tad out there. But I’m definitely feeling this one. But alas, it is DVF, so the credit card will have to stay put!
Where would I wear it to? Work, church, dinner parties with some killer heels! Yep.
These are DVF as well and I would wear these with some gladiator flats to do my weekend running around and stuff. Or if I were a SAHM (stay at home mom) these types of dresses would be staples for me, cool, easy breezy but cute and stylish still. And if you’re a SAHM that can afford DVF dresses for errands then even more fab! It can be accessorized in a myriad of ways to keep the look fresh too.
Here’s one for the party scene. How cute is this dress! Oh gee, you know I’m a sucker for some ruffles…and its green too…that’s as close to my favourite colour as it gets.
Lets revisit shoes for a bit (I can’t help myself) Betsey Johnson is one of my favourite designers as she shares my affinity for poufy dresses but look at these shoes she’s sporting here! These jazz up any stuffy office suit putting that extra pep in your step, esp when you have that meeting with your boss or that sales call to make.
Now these I have myself in a brown and black mix and trust, they are as hot as they look. Mine aren’t NYLA…but you don’t need the high price for them to still be killer….
Ok one last one. This dress has been printed and saved. You’ll see me in it one day VERY soon. I’m in LOOOOOOVVVVEEEE. Yes I’m a huge fan of tulip skirts and anything poufy, this you already know . Love!
‘nistas….what have you been eyeing lately?

Irie Diva,
I just love your tulip dress, and don’t feel “nuh way” if you see me in it before you. Already have the yellow material picked out. I love these Steve Madden’s and while they are a bit pricey, they’re too gorgeous to give up. As you said a virtual swipe”:

plus I’m a REALLY simple girl, I love this, just mentally crop the bulimic Asian and her rice garden work shoes:

That is a very cute dress U&C! U make the tulip dress and I’ll make that :p
LOVE the faux snake gladiators! I feel like I’ve been seeing really stylish shoes from Chinese Laundry lately!!
GREAT SHOE CHOICES!!! LOVE!
The grey joints with the red are quite fresh. The others are alright, but I think you’d pull off the aforementioned pretty well, bosslady.
I’m digging these Prada shoes but can’t get to a picture of them right now. I blogged about them though, just not white as I’d said. My preference is chocolate brown with patent leather.
They’re pretty damn serious. A problem, even. Gone back to my hiatus.
