Happy Irie Holidays!
We’re totally in our PJs in this pic and would’ve waited til we have a nice pretty pic in “good clothes” but look…is that the peace sign munchkin is trying to throw up? LMAO I had to share this one.
Happy holidays from my family to yours! May peace, fun, love and blessings be with you this Christmas and throughout the new year.

Irie Diary: A Sushi Birthday
So last week was my birthday! This is my final year of claiming the twenties, legitimately anyway, and I plan on making it count. You know how we tend to hold out life up to the measuring stick in our minds and get all depressed that we haven’t crossed off more stuff? Well I decided instead to focus on what I did have, my little princess, very good friends and a chance to make life what I want it to be. It’s never too late right? I sound like I’m 50 SMH

Everything about life changes. Some of these things you think about when you’re deciding to become a mother, some of these things you can’t foresee. I hate heat. I prefer to be cold than to be hot. Of course, this is easy to say as a woman who’s never lived in a place where temps fall subzero. I remember when we were in New York my aunt, bless her heart, always thought munchkin could use an extra layer or two.

Please excuse my hiatus…it’s just one of those things. You know, as a mom, it’s so amazing to watch a little life blossom. They’re so precious…so amazing…so full of life. Every time she says something new…discovers a new way to do something or is up to some mischief and looks over at me to see if i’m watching her I really have to sit back and marvel at life. When she hears a new word…pauses to process and then tries to repeat…always gets me. She’s so precious. She’s changed my life in many many ways and my hair is next on the list.

Happy birthday my love! Today’s my husband’s birthday and as I sit here looking through the myriad of pictures we’ve taken together over the past 7+ years that we’ve known each other, it really reminds me that we have a hell of a history together. We’ve been on so many fun adventures, been through some bizarre times and had each other’s back through it all. We met in college, went on to work together and really grew into adulthood with each other. It’s no wonder that no matter what happens with us, it seems to somehow make us stronger.
