Last year when I made this post, it was really just…I dunno…it wasn’t anything serious. I did it all in jest…blogs around me were all doing their resolution posts and I thought I’d join in on the fun. I re-read the post now and…it’s kind of nice to put things in perspective. Hey guys…today I’m gonna stray from the main topic of the blog to talk a little about blogging itself. I’m gonna take the opportunity to pass on some lil tidbits I learned in the 3+ years that I’ve been doing this. I’m no expert…but I see so many new Jamaican blogs popping up all over the place and it gets me excited to have local stuff to read. There are even Jamaican blog awards in the works which can mean great things for our blogosphere. That’s funny…spell check doesn’t yet recognise the word blogosphere. LOL…anyway

Sigh…I am so tired of hearing how Christmas isn’t the same again and its so commercialized. I’ve been hearing it since high school. You know why? Because it always was. But before high school, I. Was. A. Child. I didn’t know what commercialized was yet. As many people echo, Christmas was fun when we were young. Well…thank your mother. Thank your pa…your gammy…thank whoever held the tradition up in your household so you had a Christmas. Now you’re grown and know the harsh reality of what Christmas “really is.” Like I was crushed the day I found out my mommy was the tooth fairy. CRUSHED! But, I am excited to sneak money under my baby’s pillow in a couple years. Its your turn you grinch! The magic is not gone, its now your turn to make it happen. Make it special for your little cousin, your niece your nephew…your mom, your pa…your gammy who sacrificed her December pension so you could feel Christmas.

I feel like I’ve already written about this and writing about myself is not my most favourite thing to do. I do want to take a minute to reinforce my positive nature tho.

When you run a personal blog there will always be those people who wait with bated breath for your next post so that they can “faas” in your business and take shots at you.

They read a few words and they think they know your whole life and what you’re about. They think they’re getting ammo on you, maybe they want to copy you, maybe they want what you have. I’ve never gotten the reason behind that. I mean if you don’t like a person why invest time reading their blog? I currently have 36 blogs on my google reader and its because I think they’re funny, entertaining, interesting…there’s something there to make me keep coming back! You won’t however find me checking up on someone’s blog so I can tweet, facebook, labrish and chat about what I don’t know. #wheretheydothatat ?? What the hell do people know about me and my lifestyle and the examples I set for my kid? People really love to stay behind computer screens and talk sh*t but don’t try to get outta pocket with me, I am not the one.

I am not going to be one of those people who speak constantly about “haters.” I loathe that word so much. Its fake and disgusting and I unfollow with a quickness people on twitter who tweet all day about their haters and all manner of negativity. I definitely won’t fall onto that path. As draining as people “hating” on you is, constantly acknowledging said “haters” is twice that. With that said, I give you no more shine. What you’re trying to accomplish will not work anyway. Me and my family are happy and will be A-ok. Enjoy your time, I wish you well on whatever it is you’re trying to gain by shadowing me.

So, what’s something I love about myself? I am a classy lady.

Least favourite female group

Who made this up? This one annoys me…I dunno who my least favourite is…cus I don’t listen to them *rolls eyes*

Anyhoo the first thing that came to mind is 3lw…but not them as a group really….just kiely…and this crap she decided would be a good message for her teenage fans:

Kiely hunny you fail at life for this crap. Going around promoting promiscuity and aids SMH. I have never seen this vid all the way to the end. Its too much even for me. There’s sexy…there’s trashy…and then there’s Kiely giving out free BJs behind the greasy gas station urinal at 3am in the morning…
