Hot Trend: Off Shoulder Tops and Dresses
Ok fine I’m five years late writing on this trend and we all BEEN rocking off shoulder but you know what… I’ve loved me an off-shoulder for so long before it came back around that I felt I wanted to still jump in and pay homage to one of my faves…
Shout out to beautiful sunset backdrops in my island nation! I got this pink chiffon number off Amazon, can you believe it? It can be hard to find cute, trendy clothes that fit on Amazon so this was a definite score and for only $15! It’s available in a few more colours and I’m tempted to get it in black as well. I got size large and I’m currently an XL so beware that it runs a little big and flowy. Here are a few more pics of this cute little number that you can get here.
I also got this blue number from Amazon. It’s the update to the off shoulder trend that sees the sleeves kinda just barely attached on to the tube top section giving an effect of barely there dropped sleeves. It can be really cute!
What’chall think? It’s cute eh? Here let me put on some heels with it for yah
I’ma admit, I’m loving the heels more than anything else in this outfit. Let’s go back to flats. Love this top. Got lots of compliments when I wore it too! Wore it with a bikini bottom to a beach party recently.
This top steps up my “few errands” outfits paired with distressed shorts and sandals. This next orange number I got at Lees Department Store here in Kingston. I love the material even though it needs ironing…hate that part. It’s a very cool, flowy dress that also takes your Saturday evening stroll or Sunday brunch outfit up a notch in one smooth move. All it needs is just a few accessories. One of the reasons I love dresses so much. That and the fact that they’re so comfortable to wear when they’re loose and flowy. 😉
This dress is unfortunately not the star of these pictures. It’s undoubtedly the beautiful beaches of the British Virgin Islands. I can never get over how crystal clear the waters are and how far out the shallows go on quite a few of them. Perfect for kids! Anyway one last number…this is an oldie but still a favourite. My seamstress Miss Mary Clarke herself made this design for me long before the off shoulder trend came back in with such a bang.
It’s gorgeous eh! An older woman stopped me in the pharmacy and asked if she could stick me up and take my dress! She said it was fabulous. After I came down from cloud nine, I wondered what that said about my style… Am I already dressing well beyond my years? LOL either way…. I am LOVING the off shoulder boom currently. What about you?
I love the looks, but have not rocked the trend as yet because key to wearing it is a very good strapless bra which I need to find and invest in. As a large busted woman, thats one of the biggest downfalls to the off the shoulder look for me.
That’s very true, I’m researching some for an upcoming post
Great! Can’t wait to see, even though I know it will be an arm and a leg expensive 🙂
Gurl, where you been? You’ve been MIA and I am glad to see you back. I love me some cold shoulder/off the shoulder tops for years & years and you should never get rid of them, cause you wear them so darn well. That dress your designer made is just HAUTE.

Hi Neti! It’s sooooo good to be back and I’m so happy that you’ve stopped over too! I won’t go anywhere again anytime soon. Love it too much! And yes, the trend is fabulous! I am living for it.
