If you know me, even just a little bit from social media, you know how much I love my currys! Curry chicken, curry chickpeas, and more curry chicken. Yes, that’s the extent of my curry love. I will have curry goat but I have never attempted to cook it.

Yes, I am Jamaican and in Jamaica, we eat goats. And they’re delicious! You must try. I promise you’ll like it. If you’re a meat eater.

So I recognised my lack of curry proficiency and went on a hunt to find a different recipe. And whoa. I have been depriving myself of some awesome looking curry recipes!

Why have I been cooking curry chicken every week? The extent of my “mixing it up” was with coconut milk or without. Well, here’s a fantastic list of curry recipes to try. Which one (or ten) do you fancy?

  1. Curry Goat

Jamaican Curry Goat Recipe

Of course, I’m going to start with the curry goat mentioned above. It’s one of the original Jamaican currys. I like this recipe for its simplicity. You know it’s true Jamaican old style cooking when the recipe says “throw in some salt and pepper.” You’re left to decide how much salt and pepper!

2. Red Lentil Curry

I LOVE lentils. I usually cook ’em up just with a bit of coconut milk and some spices. Jessica’s twist using red curry seems awfully warming and good for the soul. I am absolutely trying this. And it’s vegan too! Hooray for health!

3. Thai Curry Vegetable Soup


Here’s something I would have never thought of, curry soup with rice noodles! This one definitely piques my interest.

4. Coconut Cashew Curry Chicken and Rice with Mango


What a mouthful! Are you ready for the bounty of flavours in bursting in your mouth?

5. Curry Roasted Cauliflower


How about a recipe that doesn’t have any curry gravy? I’m intrigued! Roasted cauliflower is awesome. Curry flavours should make it even more so.

6. Banana Thai Curry


Ripe bananas and curry? Hmmm….

7. Spicy Vegan Potato Curry (Dum Aloo)


Were you waiting for me to bust out an Indian dish? Out of all of them I could choose from, I can’t get over how delicious these potatoes look. Definitely one to try.

8. Curry Cabbage


Ever thought about curry cabbage? This would have been great when we were all using the cabbage soup diet to lose weight. ‘memba that? I like the look and description of this one as well. Gonna give this one a shot, might become one of my staple currys.

9. Kolhapuri Egg Curry


This one is Indian as well. Egg curry? It definitely made me raise my eyebrow. Would you try? We’re all putting eggs in soup now a la ramen so why not?!

10. Thai Green Curry Hummus


I LOVE hummus! What an awesome way to spice up a favourite?!

11. Indian Spiced Meatballs in Curry Sauce

Meatballs are comfort food. So deliciously decadent. I bet this one tastes awesome with the Indian spices. Oh man.

12. Saag Aloo (Spinach and Potato Curry)


One more Indian dish. Simply because, do you know how much spinach you’d have to use to actually reap so much in the dish?! That aside, it looks amazing. perfect weeknight healthy dinner.
