Kingston Bridal Week was a Grande Ol’ Time

Kingston Bridal Week went down over the past weekend and I was invited to come on down and witness the festivities. I was excited to go see all the pretty wedding dresses on show as I love me some frou frou! When I got there I ran into my college bud who was helping out in one of the booths and we kicked it all afternoon long. Yay! I snapped this pic of her behind a made-of-paper wedding dress spotted in the Toppin Designz booth:

Fits her perfectly doesn’t it? The atmosphere buzzed with activity as I walked from booth to booth soaking up wedding cakes, massages, mani-pedis, jewelry, decor and of course fabulous wedding dresses. I snapped this one in the Petals and Promises booth:

Gorgeous no? I love a princess frock with lots of frou-frou, look at this pretty one spotted at the Bliss Bridal booth:

Pushed up boobies aside, she looks fabulous!

I fell in love with the bracelets at Happi Beads until she told me the prices X_X apparently they’re all made of semi-precious rocks and stones. Well hello! I absolutely loved the owner though, she was full of spunk and if I had $14Gs to throw down on a couple of my favourite kinds (of course I would have picked up the most expensive kinds first) then I surely would have. They’re so pretty!

We went outside to the food booths to sip and sample fine wine and dining for receptions et al. I had a lovely glass of Trio Red Wine as well as a tamarind mimosa, yummy in my tummy

The spicy mayo was so yummy by the Great House Caterers booth! I’m gonna try that with greek yoghurt. Team healthy options!

These lovely ladies were filming a segment for a local station. So cutesy with the colour blocking. Healthy took a back seat at the dessert station. The coconut cookies were soooooooooo delectable and these little pecan short breads? Oh lawd…

The best part of the evening was definitely the fashion show that closed out the week. I’m gonna skim right over the “kissing competition” that happened and move on to the fine male models that did a little topless dance to some Michael Jackson….. ooh lawd. It’s in the video clip below, ooh la laa!

I had a grand old time and if I were a bride to be I would have walked away with ’nuff discounts and maybe even some fine prizes! But alas I’ve already jumped the broom… Check it out next year, KBW was a winner. More pictures from the event can be seen on my Facebook page.

  1. 2 things:

    1. Those men dancing…no bueno. I would have been laughing my ass off…not sexy lol.

    2. I was disappointed with the selection from the final line. I only saw one sleeved dress. Everything else was halter cut (don’t know if that’s the right name). Wouldn’t make me want to go to them for a dress after seeing that.

Thanks, as usual, for keeping me in the know about what’s going on locally lol.
