Style Week Jamaica 2015
So we’re halfway through the Jamaican fashion season, having just wrapped Style Week Jamaica’s three events. On night one, White Style was the theme of the intimate gathering for open night. This is the outfit I went with, I made the skirt 😀
I felt very pretty in this outfit all night, amongst the comments of “I can see your panties!” LOL! My automatic response was something about taking inspiration from Rihanna and Beyonce. Cause if they can do it, even tho I don’t have either’s body, I’m doing it!
Courtney Washington was my favourite collection shown at the event. His flowy cuts and bold prints embodied the style I usually go for and it certainly defined what I believe the coconut flavoured Sangster’s Rum Cream loving girl would don, eclectic, bohemian perfection. As usual, I took a video of the final walk.
On Sunday the big shebang went down, Fashion Block. Saint International takes over a section of Knutsford Boulevard and constructs the Caribbean’s biggest outdoor runway to showcase the collections. Here’s the outfit I went with:
A little edgier, a litle sexier for the street event. I also didn’t wear the heels but donned boots made for walking. If you’re on my snapchat (iriediva) you would have seen that change.Â
TNT Fashions took the night for me here. The African prints and the flowy island feel of some of the looks were perfect and I need to know how to get the clutches!!! The African print inspired clutches were perfect! Exhibit A:
NEED. CLUTCH. A few of my favourite looks from the collection are below:
I’m in love with the prints and the colours! This dress did it for me, I need to find a picture of the back for you, it was a kaleidoscope of perfection.
The designer in teal. Love it. As expected, Neah-lis also showed a few designs that captured my eye. Here are my favourites:
The sandals are by a line called Reecis Pieces. I love that there’s an explosion of leather sandals on the Jamaican market now, giving us options outside of the high-end Bridget Sandals. See anything you like? My custom clutch was a big hit! I love it. Check out 2qute for yours.
