The Jamaican Fashion Season is Officially Open

Both Caribbean Fashion Week and Style Week Jamaica launched their events this week and I was at both to see the fab go down. CFW held a lovely party with a brief word from the sponsors and the CEO while SWJ had a full on conference with a fashion show in the mix.

I am excited to be at all the events coming up as both events are growing and expanding nicely it would seem. SWJ’s all white party brought a lovely atmosphere Down Town last year as seen through the pics and if I can drag out my partner in crime to the Down Town area I hope to be there next week.

CFW hosts Baby Cham and Konshens as well as Estelle and Brian McKnight at their event this year and I can’t wait to see all of them! I always love to see Baby Cham perform and I think Konshens is the new Kartel! And hey, you think Brian McKnight will perform his new joint Let Me Show You? 😐

Meanwhile Style Week’s Fashion Block in New Kingston is shutting down all of Knutsford Boulevard, the biggest staging yet and promises to incorporate the Jamaica 50 theme throughout the shows.

A swimsuit shown last night at Style Week’s launch. See the rest of those photos here and the photos from the CFW launch here. Click these links for more info on Caribbean Fashion Week and Style Week Jamaica. Will you be coming out to any of these events?
