Feeling Myself Friday: Pops of Red

Happy Friday!!! It’s been one heck of a week for me as I started a new gig this week that’s been a whirlwind of a ride. I have been looking forward to this Friday since last Sunday! I been working nonstop since Sunday and I have projects lined up for tonight and tomorrow as well so there’s no end in sight! This isn’t a complaint at all! I’ve been loving it, I just haven’t been able to carve out me-time! I lost about 5lbs of hair this morning trying to detangle matted hair that hasn’t been touched much less deep-conditioned in over three weeks. Whew! With all that said, I picked up some new garb this morning and when I threw them on, I was certainly feeling myself! They’re all basics that I got to run around all day in, comfortable to boot with that effortlessly stylish chic that a modern gal needs. Then, mom said, “you know what this outfit needs, red pumps” and voila. Fashion Friday was in full effect.

I love that the top is really an open front cardigan that I can transition from day to night, just pry it open a little more to show off the girls. 🙂 The leggings are soooooooooooo comfortable! They’re made from a super soft material that’s lovely to the touch, plus they’re high-waisted with pockets for the tummy-bearer like myself. Leggings like these allow me to wear crop tops when I Want without feeling self-conscious about baring belly. With this outfit however, that’s all taken care of as the criss-cross design in the front hits at the perfect position to distract from any of that. Love it! I’m also sporting new frames, I can finally see again! The shoes are old, I wrote about them here.

Everything was super affordable too! Get the top here and the pants here! The top is also of a very soft material that will be comfortable to wear all day long and is long-sleeved for those of you up north where it’s currently getting nippy. I am about to purchase these pants in other prints and hopefully I can also find it in solid cause honey child…
