Scripting Manifestation: The Secret Technique to Your Desires
There are many tools within the manifestation world but as someone who loves to write, scripting is a favorite for me. Scripting manifestation is one of the most powerful habits you can develop as you begin a manifestation journey. Scripting helps you focus on your intentions and brings manifestation into being a little faster than spoken words.
In this post you'll find:
What is Scripting Manifestation?
Scripting manifestation is a powerful technique used to manifest desires and goals by writing them down in a detailed and affirmative manner. It’s a process that combines creative writing and the principles of the Law of Attraction, aiming to help individuals clarify their intentions, focus their energy, and bring their desires into reality.
Simply put, to script means to write out what you want to manifest in your life.
Think of the movie-making process. You have the screenwriter; this is the person who comes up with all of the ideas for a film, usually based on a true story or events that could happen but add some kind of fantasy element to them. They find actors or actresses who look like the characters they need for their roles and then have them perform the lines they’ve written to make a good scene. A screenwriter’s job is to tell a story in such detail that when it is filmed, everyone can see what they had envisioned.
As a manifestation practitioner, your role as a scriptwriter is to write about your desires in such a way that you can see them and feel them with all your senses. It’s very important to write it out as if they have already happened so there is no doubt or sense of disbelief to hold you back from receiving it.
Scripting for manifestation is, therefore, the writing of an imaginary story of what would happen when the object of your desire is manifested in the physical realm. If you’d like a guide on how to script, follow the scripting worksheets in my Manifestation Challenge.

When you’re scripting, you can write your script on paper or type it on a computer. The style and form don’t matter, it’s all about preference. I am a pen-and-paper type of girl and have a specific journal just for my scripting. I love it and love being able to look back at what I’ve scripted and manifested.
Don’t inject stress into your scripting by worrying over every word or phrase. Script from your heart and allow the universe to understand your intention.
How to: Scripting Manifestation
Not sure where to start? Follow these steps to develop the habit of scripting.
1. Start with an end in mind.
Ask yourself what you want, why you want it, and how it will transform your life for the better. For instance, writing “I have $1 million dollars in my bank account” doesn’t give the Universe much to work with. How can that money help you live a better life? What will you do with the million dollars?
Will having one million dollars in your bank account allow you greater freedom to pursue your passions? Or will it enable you to give something back (and who or what) by way of donation, charity, etc.? Answering these questions gives you better insight into what it is you really want. If you want money for a vacation, then what you really want isn’t the money but the vacation. So write about the vacation in as much detail as you can imagine, evoking all emotions as you write.
2. Script as if it already happened.
As I said before, writing as if something has already happened and using the present tense is very important. Be specific in your description of what you want to manifest.
3. Envision every detail of how it will happen.
If scripting for a car, describe the car as if you’re sitting in it and driving around right now. What color are the seats? Do you have the sunroof open or windows down? What do you feel as you sit in this car? How does it smell?
When I write about my car manifesting, I close my eyes and imagine being in the driver’s seat of the car. I describe how beautiful it looks sitting there on a sunny day with everything intact and working properly. I imagine the doors opening and closing, the windows rolling up and down, and how smooth it drives when I put it into gear and pull away from the curb.
If you want to manifest a romantic partner, describe him or her in great detail. How tall are they? What is their hair color and texture? How old are they? Where do you meet them and how do you feel when you first see them? What’s your day-to-day relationship like with this person? How do you feel when you’re in their company and when you’re not?
You get the point right? Script what it would be like if this person were standing next to you right now. Go into great detail and describe all the senses that would be involved.
4. Be clear on your desires
Before you write your script, ask yourself what your intentions are. Unless you understand what your desires are, you won’t be able to ask the Universe to fulfill them. Vague requests are difficult for the Universe to answer.
You wouldn’t ask a waiter for a meal. You would tell him exactly what you wanted. Write as if you ordered from a menu and you’re now describing what it’s like to bite into your desires. Your spirit knows what you need, listen to your inner voice.
5. Understand your why
Why do you want this blessing? What are you trying to achieve? Your intention should be clear when you script. Knowing why you want something is as important as knowing what you want. Be wary of asking for blessings if you’re not sure whether they will serve your best interests.
6. How does it feel
Scripting allows you to feel the benefits of your blessings by asking yourself how it feels. Imagine what your life would be like if you had that blessing in its strongest form and then put that into words. Your feelings and emotions are so much more powerful than words so get really excited as you script and imagine the outcome of your desire.
You should feel positive, empowered, and whole. If you don’t feel right having this blessing, you may be letting negative thoughts and emotions cloud your request. If scripting your blessing isn’t bringing you peace and happiness, go back and redefine the clarity and why of your intention.
7. Be grateful
I love to end my scripting by being grateful for having received the blessing I’ve asked for. If you finish your script and feel empty, chances are either you lack clarity or you’re not feeling grateful enough.
Scripting helps increase your vibrational energy to bring your manifestations into focus. The Law of Attraction is stronger when you are focused on your intentions and are clear about what you are asking from the Universe. Scripting is an excellent habit to build as part of your manifestation journey.
Weekly scripting can be done every Sunday or Monday morning as you close one week and prepare for the next. Using scripting as a regular habit helps you discover your deepest desires and then send your requests to the Universe, knowing you are blessed.
Practical Guide to Script for Manifesting
Instead of asking the Universe what you want as if you don’t have it now, which is going to attract more lack of that thing, you ask in a way that you already have it. Since like attracts like, you always want to ask in present tense, as if what you are asking for has already happened. This is where “I Am” affirmations come in.
The “I Am” rule says that when you are scripting in your journal about what you are trying to manifest, you always write “I am”, instead of “I want to” or “I will”. You are writing in present tense as you will find out in the next paragraph, so make sure you start each sentence with phrases like:
- I am
- I do
- I have
It is really easy to change any negative statement into a positive one. For example, if you find yourself writing “I want to”, your focus is visualizing on the lack of something, not as if you already have it. Change that to “I have” or “I am” and it completely changes your perspective to a feeling of abundance.
Scripting in Present Tense
Scripting is done in the present tense, always, with no exceptions. This is a way to ask the Universe for what you want, but write it down as if it has already happened and you are thanking the Universe for bringing this into your life.
To start, think about what you want or what you are trying to manifest. Now imagine you already have that thing or are living that life. Then write as if it is in the future when you have that dream already, and what you might say.
One easy way to do this is to write a letter to your best friend. Write what you would say to them about your new desire. Tell them how it manifested, how you feel now that you have it, and how grateful you are to have manifested it. I like to include phrases like “it was by pure chance” or “it came so quickly and easily” to give cues to the Universe that I’d like my manifestation to come this way.
Tips for Changing Your Mindset
In the beginning, it is hard to get past the old way of journaling, where you are talking more about what you don’t want, instead of what you do want. Scripting is all about acting as if, being in the future when you have what you are trying to manifest.
Changing a negative mindset or cultivating belief while scripting for manifestation can be challenging, but with the right approach, it’s entirely possible. Here are some helpful tips:
Start Small: If you’re struggling with belief, begin with smaller, more achievable desires. As you see these manifestations come to fruition, your confidence in the process will grow.
Practice Gratitude: Begin your scripting session by expressing gratitude for the things you already have in your life. This positive energy can help shift your mindset toward a more optimistic one.
Positive Affirmations: Incorporate positive affirmations into your script. For example, “I am deserving of my desires” or “I believe in the power of manifestation.” These statements reinforce a positive mindset.
Visualization: Before you start writing, take a few moments to close your eyes and visualize your desires as if they’ve already happened. Imagine the emotions and experiences associated with achieving your goals.
Use Present Tense: Write your script in the present tense, even if you don’t fully believe it yet. This helps your subconscious mind to accept your desires as current realities. You can use words like “I am ready for” if you’re struggling with this. “I am ready to drive my new car.” or “I am ready to look into my lover’s eyes.”
Avoid Negative Self-Talk: Be mindful of any negative self-talk or doubts that arise while scripting. When these thoughts surface, acknowledge them and then replace them with positive, affirming statements.
Consistency: Script regularly, ideally daily. Consistency reinforces your commitment to your desires and helps rewire your thought patterns. Try scripting about your day each morning to help shape your days into more fruitful experiences.

Surround Yourself Positively: Spend time with people who support your goals and aspirations. Positive influences can help counteract negativity.
Visualization Tools: Consider using visualization tools like vision boards, where you can include images and words that represent your desires. These can serve as visual reminders of your goals.
Journaling: Keep a separate journal to record any signs, synchronicities, or manifestations that occur as a result of your scripting. This can boost your confidence and belief in the process.
Patience: Understand that changing your mindset and beliefs takes time. Be patient with yourself and trust in the process, even if results don’t appear immediately.
Self-Care: Take care of your physical and emotional well-being. When you’re in a positive state of mind, it’s easier to believe in the power of manifestation.
Remember that belief in the manifestation process is a key factor in its success. With persistence and a commitment to cultivating a positive mindset, you can gradually overcome negativity and non-belief, making your scripting manifestation method more effective in manifesting your desires.
